Religious Holidays
The following list of religious holidays for 2024-2025 was compiled by BMC student leaders, based on their identification of dates that would have the most impact on their experiences at the College. This impact may include, but is not limited to students fasting, attending services, or going home to be with family. Our intent is to provide community members with a list that is easy to access and that raises awareness of the communities of faith on campus.
Academic Considerations: While Bryn Mawr does not cancel classes for any religious holidays, it does respect the right of its students to observe holidays that are important to them. Class absences around a religious holiday should be excused. Anything faculty can do to help students make up work they miss because of such absences would be appreciated. If possible, it is recommended that tests and assignments are not scheduled on or very near holidays.
