Campus Greening

Bryn Mawr Community Garden

The Community Garden was founded by Bryn Mawr's Green Gardens Committee in 2010 and is a space for the College's community members to help grow and harvest fruits and vegetables. The garden's produce is used in New Dorm dining hall, the Wyndham Alumnae House bed and breakfast, and Bryn Mawr's environmentally-focused co-op, Batten House.

We're on a mission to increase our campus tree canopy. This effort includes planting 20+ trees each year since 2013.

Low-Mow Wildflower Areas

The College plans to transform more of the campus into no-mow, low-mow areas, such as several wildflower areas.

Explore our Campus Trees

From the majestic, champion Maidenhair (Ginkgo biloba) to the graceful, rosy Flowering Cherry (Prunus serrulata 'Kwanzan'), the trees on the Bryn Mawr campus are an integral and inspiring dimension of the campus experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
