Your career change begins here.
We look for applicants who show a strong academic record at both the high school and college levels. In general, accepted students have better than a B+ (3.3) average at the college level and standardized test scores consistent with that level of performance. Your motivation for becoming a physician will be considered, along with your career history, volunteer activities, and any experiences you have had in healthcare. Academic letters of recommendation give us further insights into your background and capabilities.
Admission to the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program is conducted on a rolling basis. Decisions are made throughout the admissions cycle, generally October-March. Applying early is recommended because there are many more qualified applicants than spaces.
To apply for the Class of 2026:
- Application Opens: Thursday, August 8, 2024
- Early Action Deadline: Tuesday, October 1, 2024 (11:59 pm PST) to receive a decision by Friday, December 20, 2024.
- Regular Decision Deadline: Wednesday, February 19, 2025 (11:59 pm PST)
Note: College seniors are encouraged to apply after they have received their fall semester grades.
"Deadline" refers to the date that your application must be submitted; supporting materials (e.g., letters of recommendation, transcripts) must arrive within two weeks of submission of your application. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure the timely arrival of all supporting materials.
