Biography
Agnès Peysson-Zeiss is Coordinator of the Intensive Language sequence in French at 鶹AV, Co-Chair of Global Learning Experiences, Middle Eastern Studies and Africana affiliated faculty. She has published articles on the works on Assia Djebar, Moufida Tlatli and Raja Amari. Her most recent projects deal with the relationship text-image in graphic novels and the representations of disabilities and trauma. Her article : “Dans la marge de la BD : génocide et résilience” came out in Nouvelles Etudes Francophones in fall 2019. She is also involved in virtual civic engagement, focusing on human rights issues, translating, with her students, articles from the DR Congo which are archived at the Library of Congress. Her article “Virtual Civic Engagement and Social Justice: Empowering Women through Digital Media and Translation” came out in 2018.
