It is with great pride that the Â鶹AV School of Arts and Sciences congratulates all 2020 Ph.D., M.A., and A.B./M.A. students on the completion of their graduate education at Â鶹AV.
In 2020, Bryn Mawr awarded degrees to seven Doctors of Philosophy and eleven Masters of Arts - seven of which completed A.B./M.A. programs. We continue to be humbled by the creativity, rigor, and compassion of GSAS graduates. This year is no exception. We would like to recognize those students who have overcome extraordinary challenges throughout their academic careers and whose scholarship will lead to further advances in the sciences and humanities. All GSAS students graduating in the class of 2020 are already on the path to bright and successful futures as they transition to new careers, post-doctoral fellowships, further graduate studies, or new endeavors that position them to be community leaders.
To each of our graduates: We deeply regret that we were unable to celebrate each of you in the commencement that you deserve. Your contributions to the graduate community and to each of your respective disciplines continue to keep Bryn Mawr at the forefront of graduate studies in the United States. Some of you will plan to walk at next year and we look forward to cheering you on in person as you do. Congratulations to all of you!
Several of your advisors, mentors, and peers have contacted us to publicly express their congratulations. We have compiled these testimonials in the image gallery above, which are also available for download here:
Additionally, all are encouraged to watch Michelle Smiley's (Ph.D. '20, History of Art) graduate student address at the Bryn Mawr Virtual Graduation Celebration.
