About the School
Â鶹AV education in a liberal arts environment.
Â鶹AV education at Bryn Mawr was part of the founding mission of the College. Established in 1885, Â鶹AV takes pride in being the first women’s college in the U.S. to provide graduate education culminating in a Ph.D. Since 1931, graduate enrollment has been co-educational. Students in the Â鶹AV School of Arts and Sciences pursue research in graduate programs of international reputation.
Bryn Mawr surpasses traditional models of graduate education in its attention to the unique needs of individual students and its commitment to developing a broadly trained community of scholars.
