Dear Bryn Mawr students,
Following President Cassidy’s announcement yesterday, I am writing to inform you about housing. We know that housing is a focus of concern for you. Some students who would like to go home may not be able to for various reasons, and some do not have other housing options. I want to assure you that we will provide housing, dining, and health care for students who need to stay on campus during this emergency situation.
To request on-campus housing for the period between March 16 - April 3, please complete this by (tomorrow) Friday, March 13 at noon. Each request will be reviewed individually by a small committee from the Deans Office and Residential Life. We will respond as soon as possible to your request.
For safety reasons, we need to know who is residing in campus housing and where. If you do not have approval for on-campus housing after March 16, your One Card will not give you access to dorms. If you are leaving campus and need to retrieve belongings, you are welcome to do so this weekend. If possible, please don’t leave perishable food in your dorm room and please practice social distancing.
We will provide information and updates to the community as we have them, so please continue to look at your Bryn Mawr email. The link to the Coronavirus FAQ page can be found here.
This is a very unusual situation and I understand that the need to make unexpected decisions and take fast action is challenging and stressful for you and your families. We are doing our best to anticipate and answer your questions and provide support where we can. Thank you your patience and cooperation in these challenging days.
Yours,
Jennifer Walters
