Leadership, Innovation, and Liberal Arts Center's Name to Change to Career & Civic Engagement Center
From its beginnings in 2013, the mission of Bryn Mawr's Leadership, Innovation, and Liberal Arts Center (LILAC) has been clear: “To prepare and support liberal arts students and alumnae/i to become effective, self-aware leaders in their chosen life pursuits.”
To match this clarity of focus—and help students to find the Center as easily and early as possible—Associate Dean Katie Krimmel enlisted staff, students, alumnae/i, and parents to identify a new name for LILAC. The careful process included focus groups, brainstorming sessions, and surveys.
The Center's new name will be the Career & Civic Engagement Center. The Center's website and print materials will be changed to reflect the new name this summer.
“The core work of the Career & Civic Engagement Center remains supporting students and alumnae/i as they explore, connect, and ultimately lead the life they choose,” says Krimmel.
