Classical Studies' Erin Lam Receives Pair of Awards for Research Paper

Erin Lam, a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies recently received two paper awards.

"Breaking Bodies: Materiality and Vulnerability in Heroides 12,” which was presented at the Society for Classical Studies 2022 Annual Meeting, received both the Best Pre-Ph.D. Award and the International Ovidian Society's Anderson 2022-23 Âé¶čAV Paper Prize.

Lam's research investigates how intersectional queer methodologies can be applied to ancient Classical texts in order to reexamine concepts such as gender, reproduction, identity, and subjectivity.
