Name: Sophie Daley-Harris
Major: Psychology (AB/MSS with the Âé¶čAV School of Social Work and Social Research)
Minor: Child and Family Studies
Hometown: Princeton, NJ
Key Bryn Mawr Experiences:
- Being accepted to the Âé¶čAV School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) to get an advanced masterâs degree in clinical social work, which is a program I had been dreaming of since I first applied to Bryn Mawr!
- Serving as president of Bryn Mawr Hillel and being part of an amazing board who helped to cultivate Jewish community on campus.
- Being in a musical theatre showcase with Greasepaint Productions where I got to perform a solo, âHolding to the Groundâ from Falsettos.
Post-graduation plans: I will be living with two amazing Bryn Mawr friends in Narberth as I finish my last year of the social work degree at the GSSWSR. My second-year fieldwork will be at the Center for Counseling and Education in Marlton, NJ where I will be practicing therapy with children and adolescents. A dream come true in so many ways!
People you want to thank: All of the professors and academic advisors who have guided me through my Psychology degree all the way to my incoming social work degree. Thanks also to Bryn Mawr Hillel for always providing a Jewish space on campus that feels like home. I would also like to thank my friends for the countless hours of laughter and adventures weâve shared and for their support and friendship which has carried me through these past four years, in the good times and the hard times. Special shoutout to my roommate and best friend, Abby Fortune, for making every day full of joy, laughter, and friendship. Finally, I would like to thank my wonderful family for all of their love and support throughout my lifetime and their enthusiasm and encouragement as I have gone through my college experience. I truly wouldnât be where I am today without them, and I love them all endlessly. Anassa kata!
