Post-graduation plans: Mian will be working as a research specialist at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research
Majors: Anthropology and biology
Mian on her Bryn Mawr experience: "I tend to liken Bryn Mawr to a family. No matter how much I really don't like it any given day, I still love it and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It is this sense of family, camaraderie, and support that has gotten me through the many ups and downs that come with being a college student, from making friends during Customs New Student Orientation to writing my two senior theses. And I hope that this sense of community and family will stay with me as I face new challenges and joys in my life after Bryn Mawr."
Key Bryn Mawr experiences:
- Research in Karen Greif's lab for two years
- Summer research at the University of Connecticut Health and Wellness Center
- Â鶹AV tour guide for three years
- Civic Engagement VITA student coordinator for two years (but have been volunteering with VITA since freshman year).
Hometown: Gilford, New Hampshire.
