2019-20 Academic Year Gets Underway with Fall Convocation

Last week, Bryn Mawr College welcomed the Class of 2023. This week marked the start of classes and the Class of 2020 taking center stage as their final year at Bryn Mawr officially began with fall Convocation and a picnic on Erdman green on Tuesday.

Convocation is a ceremony for the entire campus community to celebrate the start of the new academic year. The event begins with a bag-piper-led procession of the graduating class, faculty, and senior staff in academic regalia into Goodhart Hall. This year's speakers were Bryn Mawr President Kim Cassidy, Dean of the Undergraduate College Jennifer Walters, Professor of Philosophy Bob Dostal, SGA President Daniela Lopez Lopez '20, and Â鶹AV School of Social Work student Mary Cerulli.
